The NASCAR competitor is referred to as a clown by Michael Jordan, but there is a catch

The twist? He was referring to Denny Hamlin, a co-owner of his 23XI who competes for Joe Gibbs Racing. After passing Tyler Reddick of 23XI late in the race, Ryan Blaney appeared certain to win, but Kyle Larson’s crash with four laps remaining resulted in a yellow and overtime. Denny Hamlin’s pit team was on it as drivers pitted for new tires, and he was able to get out before Reddick and Blaney thanks to a quick stop. After winning at Martinsville the last time out, Hamlin had a fantastic restart as well, taking the black and white checkered flag to complete his second victory in a week. Regarding Denny Hamlin, Michael Jordan He raised a flag after Hamlin’s victory at Martinsville that read ’11 against the world’, and Jordan was quizzes on his antics pre-race in Darlington. “He is a clown,” Jordan joked ahead of the Goodyear 400. “But that’s him.

Denny is that person. He drives with a great deal of confidence. He exudes a great deal of confidence. Jordan went on: “I have the same competitive juice as him. He’s returned to winning, which I adore, and I really want him to win a championship because I believe he deserves it for all that he has done for the sport over the years. And he’s going to persevere.” Denny is precisely like that. And booing him, you know, makes him better. You know, I feel better when you boo me. That’s simply the character of a successful competitor.
