Denny Hamlin had some intriguing ideas after Kyle Larson won the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway this past weekend. Hamlin commented on Larson’s victory in his second Xfinity Series race of the year on the Actions Detrimental podcast. “Larson didn’t have track position, but it was a less-than-dominant victory,” Denny Hamlin stated. “With about 40 to 50 (laps) left, I was on the verge of tweeting, ‘That guy is attempting to do that thing again,’ which is lap the field. He consistently outpaced everyone by four tenths, according to his times, which I was seeing. Justin Allgaier was the only opponent he didn’t have that edge on.

Because he was filling in for an injured Connor Zilisch, Kyle Larson participated in the Xfinity event. Larson discussed victory after the race after overcoming several obstacles. According to NASCAR.com, Larson stated, “I felt like it was a lot of survival in that race.” We had to work on the balance a lot after I got into few wrecks. So, that was enjoyable. I thought I could extend it if I ever had the lead, but I was unable to pass Justin Allgaier. I needed to be where he was running. I’m grateful that JRM allowed me to run this thing here today. It means a lot that they thought of me to call, even if I obviously wish Connor was in the car.

In May, Kyle Larson will participate in numerous races. This year, Larson has participated in three Xfinity Series races and won two of them. The 32-year-old took part in the Cup Series race on Sunday and came in fourth. Larson has won four races in the Cup and Xfinity Series so far this year. Larson had a busy month that began with the Texas Motor Speedway weekend. Larson will compete in many events at High Limit Racing in addition to the Cup Series races in May. On the same day, he will compete in the Coca-Cola 600 and the Indianapolis 500 to cap off the month. “Everyone assumes it’s like back and forth every day, but in reality, the timetable is as simple as I get all year because I’m never in a place for six days in a row,” Larson said, per Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports. “So it’s honestly really nice.”
