Scouting Indiana

The Hoosiers are coming off a 73-70 road win against Washington on Monday, snapping a three-game losing streak that included a road loss to Oregon (54-47) and home defeats to Illinois and No. 4 USC. Indiana also fell to No. 1 UCLA at home earlier in Big Ten play (Jan. 4).

Indiana features an experienced lineup, led by graduate guards Chloe Moore-McNeil (9.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 4.1 apg, 1.3 spg) and Sydney Parrish (10.9 ppg, 6.0 rpg). Junior Yarden Garzon (14.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.4 spg) and Shay Ciezki (10.6 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.8 apg) have started all 20 games alongside Moore-McNeil.

Indiana’s eight-player rotation averages 69.6 points per game on 44.4% shooting, including 34.9% from three-point range. They also convert 76.8% of free throws. The Hoosiers maintain a +1.5 rebound margin but hold a slight -0.6 turnover margin, allowing opponents 63.2 points per game on 40.5% shooting, including 33.3% from deep.

Indiana leads the all-time series 12-6, with Nebraska’s last win at Assembly Hall dating back to February 21, 2015 (67-64). The Huskers have lost six straight in Bloomington, including a 74-62 overtime battle in their last visit. Nebraska also fell to Indiana 91-59 in Lincoln last season (Jan. 7, 2024).
