This week, Frankie Muniz, a driver in the NASCAR Truck Series, had some great news to share with his fans that had nothing to do with his racing career. In 2023, two-time Golden Globe winner Muniz began participating in the ARCA Menards Series. He currently drives the No. 33 Ford in the Truck Series full-time for Reaume Brothers Racing. Muniz, currently 24th in the standings, has had a difficult 2025 season. He recently acknowledged that he felt less confident than before. “The front just blew.” Muniz stated, via Frontstretch, “I just, I cannot, I can’t catch a break.”
“You understand me? It’s difficult to keep coming, so let me ruin guys, ruin myself, and feel like I did something wrong. And things just keep happening, and it’s really difficult to stay motivated. It’s not my team, it’s not us, and it’s beyond our control.” Muniz gave an update on his acting career just two weeks after making those comments. Filming for the “Malcolm in the Middle” reboot has finally come to an end for 39-year-old Muniz. “I’m still in shock after wrapping up the filming of the Malcolm in the Middle reboot, man. This experience was simply amazing; it was like returning to Malcolm’s crazy world, only with all the turmoil and love turned up to eleven. Seeing the cast again and getting to know some new characters, laughing till it hurt, and making new memories on set felt like a dream I didn’t want to wake up from.
It passed by so quickly, a haze of idyllic moments. “I hope it continues indefinitely,” Muniz commented on X. Given how many people genuinely adore Malcolm and his family worldwide, I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to relive my time on this program with a deeper understanding of what we were creating. The fact that I genuinely enjoy being an actor is another significant lesson I’m learning from this experience. Although I never really felt like I fit that designation, I now proudly wear it and intend to do much more in the future. Having to say farewell to my MITM team makes me very sad; I adore you all.
When Muniz made his declaration, the majority of NASCAR fans responded positively. “So excited for the return of Malcom and his fam,” remarked one fan. “Can’t wait.” “Awww I love this,” said another enthusiast. “I can’t wait to see it.” An more admirer wrote, “Frankie Muniz is treasure and shall be treated as such,” “Absolutely fantastic news,” replied a fourth enthusiast. Muniz is the character that plays the title in “Malcolm in the Middle.” The well-liked sitcom ended in May 2006 after debuting in January 2000. During its existence, “Malcolm in the Middle” received numerous honors, including seven Emmys.
