Nothing makes for a more interesting offseason than an allergic reaction, which is regrettably plaguing one player and potentially jeopardizing his availability for Saturday’s preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Dallas Cowboys have had an unusually quiet offseason, with most of the focus being on what they did not do rather than what they did do, which was to decide not to give any of their best players the contract extensions they have not been shy about wanting.

Mazi Smith, a defensive tackle, experienced an allergic reaction on Friday at training camp, which prevented him from traveling to Las Vegas with the club, according to information provideAfter losing Dorance Armstrong and Jonathan Hankins to free agency, the Cowboys selected Smith in the first round of last year’s draft and will be looking to him to take on a much bigger role this year. Smith saw action in all 17 games last season, but he only registered 13 tackles and one sack. However, he is now expected to start and should significantly outperform his output from the previous campaign.
