RICHARD CHILDRESS FACES NEPOTISM CLAIMS AFTER GRANDSON’S CUP RETURN

NASCAR legend Richard Childress has found himself at the center of controversy after his grandson, Austin Dillon’s cousin, made a surprise return to the Cup Series with Chevy Ally.

FANS CRY FOUL

Accusations of nepotism have flooded social media.

“Childress is playing favorites,” tweeted @NASCAR_Fan_456.

NEPOTISM DEFINED

Nepotism refers to unfair advantage or favoritism granted to family members.

“Childress’s actions reek of nepotism,” said fan Jamie Thompson.

CHILDRESS’S RESPONSE

Richard Childress defended his decision.

“My grandson earned his spot,” Childress said.
