Here’s what the driver had to say after Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s race at the Talladega NASCAR Cup Playoffs.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. — Winner: “It was good to have a Chevy teammate and I was hoping Kyle (Larson) wouldn’t push him (Brad Keselowski) too hard. I knew (William Byron) was going to try to put the net there. But this team worked hard for him. Obviously, we haven’t won since the 2023 (Daytona) 500. It’s been a season full of twists and turns. It’s been hard to find speed this season, but we knew this was one of the tracks we had to hit. So, to everyone in South Mississippi, thank you for coming. Winning here means a lot.

“A lot of people in western North Carolina are struggling, given that Brad Dougherty and his family grew up in the Black Mountains. I wish my wife and son Stetson were here. They didn’t come this weekend. See you all at home. What a great day. “This win is really special,” he said.

Brad Keselowski – Second: “(Kyle Larson) gave me good pressure up front, but (William Byron) was really able to catch (Stenhouse) and it took a while. It ended well for us. I knocked on the door of these boards. It’s a shame I didn’t win, but I’m happy to be in the middle. I knew they were going to be very successful and he (Byron) was very close to it and I was just about to break up, so I felt like I made the right move. But there’s only so much you can do. It is a minority.

“(The 22-car crash) was just an interesting series of events. (Todd Gilliland) was a slow car for some reason and he stayed on the bottom and the Ford train pulls the bottom, and then he destroyed us all, and when we came back with the rubber band, the car it broke down. It’s a tough business. I pushed from behind and hit (Austin Cindric) and he spun. “It was not a good series of events for either of us.”William Byron – Third: “I didn’t make the third lap because I didn’t have the chance to take the lead on the last lap. I won’t go to 3. Then I had to try to push him over the edge. I had a feeling that everything would be fine. I’m happy for Ricky (Stenhouse Jr.) and everyone at Chevrolet. He deserves it. Ricky is a very good artist.

Kyle Larson – Fourth: Earned his second career top-5 finish at Superspeedway. Yeah, it’s pretty cool. You will need a lot of luck to complete this race. I don’t consider my career a failure. Because we don’t get as bad as (the chain). But I think we’re doing a great job and we showed it today. I fell behind in the first stage and had a chance to win. The second half, played at its best, resulted in some scores. In the end, it ended well with a come-from-behind win. We are proud of the efforts of Chevrolet and Hendrick Motorsports. Super car, great power. To finally go into Roval with a margin of 52 points is incredible. This race is stressful. It’s a lot more stressful for me than Talladega. “I’m glad I don’t have to worry too much.”

Eric Jones – Fifth: “Yeah, I had a good car, but it was going well. Good luck with your latest accident. There wasn’t enough damage so we had to go inside (the pit). We are glad to have a good game. “We’ve had a tough year and struggled in recent weeks so it’s good to finish at the top.”

Christopher Bell – Sixth: “Yeah, I’m happy with the points table. We achieved better results than ever before. It is truly amazing. I hope you have a great day at Roval next week. I think we’ll have some momentum and hopefully reveal a little bit of our strategy to win. “We were lucky and when that happened we overcame the crash and it led to a good finish.”

Austin Dillon – Eighth: “Thanks to everyone on the #3 Chevrolet team today at Talladega Superspeedway. It was fun to drive a few laps and the balance of our Chevrolet was good all day. We played a strategic game throughout the race and our pit crew was solid under the green flag stops. We missed a big crash at the back that put us in a good position to come back in overtime. I didn’t lose much in the last lap and ended up in 8th place. Our Richard Childress Racing team brought a fast car and the ECR engine was there all day. “I’m proud of this effort,” he said.

Bubba Wallace – Number 9: “An average day at Talladega. Obviously we want to be in victory lane, but the Toyota Camry didn’t have the speed, so we tried to avoid all the accidents, but we didn’t always succeed. We had a big crash and missed the chance at the end, but the team recovered well to finish in the top ten. Towards Roval”.Denny Hamlin – No. 10: “There was a lot of damage done here (in the hood). That’s what happened in the (Ryan) Blaney accident. We thought that fighting the problem instead of solving it was the best option. As you know, I haven’t had the speed to run since the accident. If you had asked me before starting a top 10 race, I would have done it after seeing how this round went. Anyway, we have to go to Loval and try.”

Alex Bowman — 16th: “Obviously we’re a bit behind in track position. We were stuck in lane 4 and it was devastating. Overall I was disappointed. I misstepped and I (Ryan Blaney) went down with a bad push. I was just trying to push him to help me up on stage and hit him in the wrong place. I hate that I did this. I hate that I made a bad decision and didn’t do well today. I was disappointed because I had a very nice Camaro today. The team did really well and we had some really good moments. But when it came to execution, we made too many mistakes and got into too many bad situations. Of course, it’s terrible that Children’s Day has been ruined a few more times.”

Kyle Busch – 19th: “I’m very proud of everyone at RCR and ECR for their hard work leading up to Talladega Superspeedway. We finished 4th and ran strong all day despite our conservative fuel strategy. Our boys were strong today on a bumpy track. We avoided a few big crashes and crew member Randall Burnett made adjustments to improve the balance of the car. By the end of the race I was in the top five. In the last lap I made a move but unfortunately it didn’t work and I was back in the peloton. Too bad I ran well from where I finished. We’ll be back next week at Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval.

Tyler Reddick – Day 20: “Considering all the chaos, it was a pretty good day. It was a tough race. I thought we had a good chance of getting a point. “He made a few mistakes in the last lap.”

Daniel Suarez — Day 26: “It was a very tough day for the number one. Chevrolet Team 99. We had a penalty kick problem. We had a plan and expected everyone to save fuel, cover lanes and stay in groups. I just made a mistake. I tried to stop them when they came, but they came too fast. It was my fault. I went into the pit, but unfortunately I couldn’t get out. And of course in the last match our chances ran out.”

Chase Elliott – 29th: “I thought Ricky (Stenhouse Jr.) and I had a really good system. I thought I had a lot of control over what was going to happen, and when it does, that’s what I want. Unfortunately, what was in hand bit us. I don’t know what to do with him. I was in good shape. not. 9 The Chevy team played well in the second half. We were exactly where we said we would be. I don’t know how it was cut. I thought I missed it. “Someone hit me and I started spinning.”

Chase Briscoe – Day 30: “It wasn’t the day we wanted and it just happened. I don’t know what the point is, but I’m sure it’s not good. This is one of those races where you either have to finish in the top five or win anyway, so it’s a bit clearer now and I’ll put him next. I don’t want to think, “Well, should I score or should I just try to win the race?” At the end I thought we got up and I don’t know what happened. “We lined up all the Fords and thought we were going to do really well, but then it crashed.”

Austin Cindric — 32nd: “In this position, it’s best to be as predictable as possible and keep the car as straight as possible. Of course, the leader of the pack (David Gilliland) shook it off and divided the entire field. A bit of traffic with people pulling out of their lanes (Keselowski) and pushing into the middle was what our race was all about. I had a very fast race car. Everyone in car 2 performed at an A+ level, so I’m proud of their efforts, but it’s unfortunate that tickets are going on sale so quickly. I just got back in front of the pitch. Unfortunately, Daytona ended that way for us and I think that shows that we have a very fast race car and great execution. As a leader, I try to be as predictable as possible when push comes to shove, and that’s a real shame. I don’t want to complain too much about what happened or whose fault it was. It really doesn’t matter. This puts us in a must-have position on the Charlotte road route. “We’ve brought a really fast race car to every race in the playoffs, I can’t tell you how proud I am of our team and we’ve got to bring another car next week.”

Joey Logano — No. 33: “They all pushed one another. There is something to look forward to after a race. We felt like (Keselowski), (Cindric) and (Harrison Burton) were in good shape. I didn’t win the race I was in, but I felt good enough to be in the top five, and if they go to the checkered race, I’ll be last and I’ll be fine. It’s great for us. I actually thought the floor was the safest place, but (Cindric) got upset so he stayed there.

After the race, everyone will be aggressive. (Cindric) got in a little further than before and (Burton) pushed me and gave it to (Keselowski). From there you cannot see what is in front of you. And he (Cindric) came there with a considerable amount of steam. It’s nobody’s fault. It’s not Brad’s fault. It’s nobody’s fault. This is just the result of our competition. As the rounds progress and that happens, everyone gets more aggressive. This happens often.

“Today was not fun. There is nothing to do here. You are stuck. You go 4 wide and it looks great, but when you’re driving at half throttle and you want to go, when it’s time to go, everyone is stuck in 2 wide, so you can’t really move. . . You are trying to relearn how to drive on this super highway, but your car is pulling so much that you can’t move, you can’t run, you can’t stop people. I’m sure you’re in line.”

Ryan Preuss — 35th: “I think we knew something was going to happen when (Gilliland) went by and he stayed at the bottom. I was frustrated because I think we all felt that way. The top ten finishers had a good finish in this race and everyone who entered the Stewart-Haas race had a great finish. “In the end it wasn’t our day, but it was still disappointing.”Josh Berry – 36th: “Yeah, I thought we worked well together today. I went into the pit earlier this time and it didn’t work. I think everyone on our team did really well today. “Unfortunately, none of us survived the accident.”

Michael McDowell – 37th: “I think I was 12th or 13th when he went down. The road was closed before I could get to it. There were not many roads. It’s a shame. I had a very fast Ford Mustang Love’s Travel Stop. We did a lot of laps and gained some speed in the car, but the final pit cycle was not for us. To protect yourself from this, here are 5 things you should do: I don’t know where the accident started, but we wanted to finish close to the top five to avoid it, but we didn’t. “We hit a hornet’s nest when it happened.”

Daniel Hemrick – 38th: “A bad finish to a really tough day. I am proud of everyone involved in this matter. 31 Team Chevrolet. I went through the preliminaries very quickly to get into the top 10. Unfortunately, that’s how it turned out. I thought it was a hole so I broke the top off but they both slid back. I think it’s terrible for the team, but I’m proud of these guys. “We have five more chances to do something special as a team.”

Ryan Blaney – 39th: “I don’t know if (Bowman) pushed me back three cars. It would be stupid for him because it’s the worst place you could be and it makes sense for him to get out of there as usual. The day is over. We will see where we are in terms of points at the end of the race and then look from there. I thought it went well with Austin (Cindric).

I had a feeling (Kyle Busch) was going to help Chevy. He obviously wasn’t going to help me, so we sat between them. I didn’t think it was terrible. I was probably fifth or sixth (on the stage) and (Bowman) passed me right away in the triple. He just stole me (pepper). I don’t know what he was thinking… I thought that was more reasonable, but apparently it wasn’t. “You can’t pass someone from the Three Kingdoms, but it was.”

Ross Chastain – 40th: “I don’t know what happened to those people on the center line over there. Going into the Trioval, I followed (Kyle Busch) and pushed him into lane three. I pushed the Chevrolet. Yes, someone was shocked. “When I saw Ryan there, I assumed it was the yellow spot I had seen.”
