Every NASCAR race on the street circuit is an opportunity for your skills and strategy to shine. For the seventh consecutive year, the playoffs at Charlotte Motor Speedway will feature a unique race: the 17-lap, 3.28-mile Roval. It’s a fall tradition that started with defending Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney. He stole his first win of 2018 after a collision with Jimmie Johnson.
This year’s main event, scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m., could be the most competitive yet. On exiting the fifth turn of the race, which is traditionally two turns in a row, the racing cars take a new straight line instead of making a sharp right turn. It runs almost parallel to the right turn of the road, with cars running in opposite directions.
