The biggest day of 2024 in America: The NFL trade deadline is almost upon us. After months of working on 2024 rosters, teams across the league are looking ahead to see if their late-season draft picks will be hit or miss. Deadlines are a last minute effort to help a struggling team to the top of the league, help a struggling team to the bottom or check how the club is progressing.
In many ways, the deadline will determine what kind of team this will be this season and beyond. The NFL trade deadline isn’t usually as long as it is in other leagues, but there’s always a chance to enjoy some fireworks before things calm down. Here’s what to expect in 2024 when the trades stop and who might step into other teams’ shoes when the music stops.
When is the NFL trade deadline?
Date: Tuesday, November 5
Time: 4 PM ET Phone lines will close for all transactions at 4pm on Tuesday 5th November,5.
From now on, your team will stick with the selections you have collected at that time. Contracts can still be signed, but no players will be able to change shirts until March. The new year of racing is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM ET on March 12, when the trade winds will begin to blow again.
Candidates for the NFL trade deadline
The biggest name on the market has already found a new home, but there are still plenty of players who can book their flights and hotel rooms on Tuesday afternoon. Most of the other names are low points and not true stars. However, successful trades cannot be ruled out. Sometimes, the trading deadline can bring unexpected results. While we wait for what booster will be released, next up is a standout player.
