Former NASCAR star Danica Patrick is accusing Vice President Kamala Harris of not telling her how she voted in the California primary.
If Prop. 36 is approved, it would make shoplifting a misdemeanor for repeat offenders and increase penalties for certain drug charges. Judges also have the authority to order treatment for people charged with multiple drug charges.
Some Democratic leaders and social justice groups said the bill would disproportionately target poor people and people with drug problems.
Harris decided to give it a try.
“I’m not talking about voting. “Because frankly, today is the Sunday before the election and I have no intention of supporting her in any way.”
Harris received criticism from Patrick on Channel X.
“I’d be shocked if she admitted what she’s hiding. What else? “Why?” Patrick wrote. “Just like in a relationship, it’s a warning sign.”
Patrick gained national attention this campaign season as a fervent supporter of former President Donald Trump. He has been seen speaking at events during Trump’s re-election bid. The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver said this was his first time voting in an election and he voted for the former president.
“It’s not something I’m proud of, but it’s true,” she told Fox News’ Jesse Watters on “Jesse Watters Primetime” last month. “Just to clarify, one of my rules in all previous elections, I’ve said, ‘Look, if I don’t vote, it doesn’t mean I don’t have an opinion, but I’m not going to tell anyone about it.
“I have no problem with anything. I can’t complain about anything because I didn’t play my part.” For a long time I was just racing. That was my only focus. There was no time or energy to get politics right.”
Patrick said his perspective changed when he started paying more attention to the news. Patrick also furthered his love of country by attending the Americana Festival in Phoenix last December.
“There were a lot of great speakers and I posted some pictures afterwards,” she said of attending the event. “Of course it was very red, white and blue. I told him that red is also my favorite color and that I love this country. AMFEST, America Fest, I love this country seems to be the destination. “It got media attention.”
