Carl Edwards Joins Prime Video’s NASCAR Coverage in Landmark Debut Season

Prime Video has officially revealed its full on-air talent lineup for its first season of NASCAR Cup Series coverage in 2025. One of the most notable additions is NASCAR Hall of Famer Carl Edwards, who will play a key role in the streaming service’s pre-race and post-race studio shows.

As previously announced, Prime Video’s coverage will include a three-person announce booth for its five-race schedule, beginning with the Coca-Cola 600 on May 25. Adam Alexander will handle play-by-play duties, while NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. and former crew chief Steve Letarte will provide analysis.

The broadcast will also feature a strong pit reporter team, including former Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne, veteran reporter Marty Snider, and Kim Coon.

Edwards, who won 28 NASCAR Cup Series races before unexpectedly retiring in 2016, will be part of Prime Video’s studio coverage alongside host Danielle Trotta and veteran driver Corey LaJoie.

Alex Strand, Senior Coordinating Producer at Prime Video, expressed excitement about the additions, highlighting their experience and passion for the sport. “Carl’s Hall of Fame career, combined with the expertise of Trevor, Kim, and Marty, will bring authenticity to our coverage,” he said.

Since stepping away from racing, Edwards has largely stayed out of the NASCAR spotlight. Leading up to his Hall of Fame induction, he admitted he initially felt uncertain about returning to the sport, unsure if he would be welcomed back by fans, peers, and the media. However, he was surprised by the warm reception he received during NASCAR’s 75th-anniversary celebration at Darlington, which helped ease those concerns.
