The new Rockford-branded race car was announced on April 7 at a downtown gathering of GoRockford members and NASCAR fans. Insurance King, a Rockford-based company, partnered with GoRockford to sponsor a race car driven by Josh Bilicki, a native of Wisconsin, and will make its debut on April 19 at Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina. Insurance King owner Dan Block stated that after sponsoring Bilicki for seven seasons, he came up with the idea to bring in GoRockford to increase visibility for both his insurance business and his hometown of Rockford.

“When Rockingham Speedway was announced that we’re going back, I thought of Dan right away,” Bilicki remarked. “Dan had the idea of bringing GoRockford, so really awesome. I appreciate being here. GoRockford’s color scheme of white, orange, and teal is used to decorate the vehicle. The Rockford Peaches, ROCK’N Vodka, a sock monkey, and other Rockford-specific symbols are also included. “We appreciate that you’re giving back to the community and that when you had the idea of Rockingham, which is known as ‘The Rock,’ one of your first instincts was to shine a light back onto the community,” President of GoRockford John Groh said. “We’re really grateful that we’re able to do that with you.”
