Joey Logano’s third Cup Series victory was not on anyone’s bingo cards, but it nevertheless happened and caused a media frenzy. While some referred to it as contentious, others hailed it as a historic achievement made possible by the new elimination structure. In any event, Roger Penske and his brilliant crew did manage to leave their mark on history. How can America celebrate this accomplishment? With the President of the United States standing beside the group, grinning broadly and giving a thumbs up! Margo Martin posted a picture of President Donald Trump with Penske and the NASCAR, INDY, and IMSA Champions on X.

Jeff Gluck responded to the entire celebration in the ideal way. While uploading a video of President Trump presenting Charles Schwab to the group, Gluck said, “I would not have had Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney meeting Charles Schwab in the Oval Office while President Trump talks about the stock market on my Bingo card.” In addition to NASCAR celebrities like Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano, other Team Penske champions also attended. Among them were the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona champions Nick Tandy, Felipe Nasr, and Laurens Vanthoor, as well as the defending Indianapolis 500 champion Josef Newgarden. The fact that each driver took their own vehicle from the racetrack made the trip to the White House enjoyable.

“This is really a racing celebration. It honors Roger, his remarkable achievements, his life, and these amazing champions who truly go above and beyond what most people could. Having you all is an honor, and these are the best champions in the world. To the group of Penske drivers, President Trump stated. It’s interesting to note that this was Logano’s second trip to the White House; the first occurred in 2019, when he first won a title and President Trump took office. In addition to the Congressional Medal of Honor, Roger Penske is the recipient of the highest honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Additionally, Trump, who had attended the Daytona 500 this year, said his wish to be at the Indianapolis 500 race, “I’ll have to get there… maybe this year, with you.” In response, Penske replied by saying he has an “open invitation.”

US presidents have long been fans of NASCAR. Ronald Reagan began this custom in 1984 when he went to the Daytona Fall race and supported Richard Petty. And now, via his engagement and admiration of NASCAR champions, Donald Trump is making sure that he maintains this connection stronger than ever. Logano and Blaney had a memorable vacation, but they must prepare for this weekend’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Is the NASCAR fervor of Team Penske waning?

Despite Josh Berry’s successful return to victory lane for Wood Brothers at Kansas Speedway, Penske drivers have struggled to get off to a strong start in the new season.

On the No. 12 vehicle, Ryan Blaney in particular had a run of three DNFs and engine issues. Joey Logano, meanwhile, has only managed one top 10 result in his eight outings, and that came at Martinsville. Blaney has experienced misfortune. At Homestead, he had the best chance to win, but his late-race drive was cut short by an engine failure. The notorious late race caution was there to ruin his race when he took the lead versus Tyler Reddick, even though his engine remained faithful to him at Darlington Raceway. Conversely, Austin Cindric has lost his temper at Martinsville and COTA a few times. We are aware that the drivers on Team Penske are infamous for flipping the switch during the knockout stages.

However, they might admit their dominance of the Next Gen era if rival teams like JGR and Hendrick Motorsports continue to win. It should be mentioned that two of JGR’s and HMS’s top drivers are already guaranteed spots in the playoffs. Therefore, the Penske drivers are under pressure to produce the products within the next several weeks.
