If you believe how some NFL pundits see the 2024 Dallas Cowboys offense, these are tough times. Two of the league’s biggest stars, Dak Prescott and C.D. Even with Lamb, this offense can struggle. NFL analyst Shail Kapadia ranked the Cowboys 12th in the league while discussing the topic with The Ringer. He mentioned “some regression factors working against the cowboys”.

“We had the fifth-highest injury count on offense last season and the eighth-highest turnover rate when you look at EPAs lost to awards. From a personnel standpoint, the Cowboys lost several offensive linemen in free agency and are banking on rookies. Replace them. The running game seems uninspired. “Other than receiver CeeDee Lamb (excellent), the passing group is unimpressive.”

Kapadia qualified his comments as follows: “Cowboy represents the battle between the analytical side of my brain and the general mood of the dull and meaningless season.”In other words, it is not an easy assessment. Remember, Dallas finished the 2023 season ranked fifth in total offense. Prescott led the team’s passing game during an MVP-caliber season, averaging 259 passing yards per game (third in the league). Going forward, it’s clear the Cowboys will rely more heavily on the duo of Prescott and Lamb this season.

As Kapadia points out, the action gameplay looks “uninspired.” Dallas’ running backs are now a shell of their former selves, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Ezekiel Elliott isn’t back in 2025. That means a lot of this team’s offensive production will fall on Prescott’s shoulders. If he can get the Cowboys to the promised land this season, it will be a legendary season.
