Cheer with Precision: The Essential Rules and Guidelines for Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!

The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders are a household name in the world of NFL cheerleading, and there are clear expectations about how potential athletes should conduct themselves if they want to join the ranks. “I feel like I’m dealing with [PTSD] [when] CMT is called to the office frequently. I was like, “[deep breath] … this is going to be really good,” Victoria told Us Weekly in July 2024. Going forward, “If it was like CMT, I think I would have focused more on the drama,” he said.

Victoria formed the team in late 2019 and supported DCC for three years after taking a short break to deal with mental health issues. With America’s Sweethearts, she made it clear that she lives up to the team’s high standards year after year. Meanwhile, Kelly hasn’t been shy about making special rules for DCC dancers, telling People in June 2024: “I make no apologies for our standards. “It’s a very visible organization with elite dancers, and the uniforms are amazing and beautiful. . “It is custom made to fit each individual figure.”Keep scrolling for a complete overview of the guidelines that all applicants and DCC team members must follow.

According to a description on the DCC website, all prospective dancers must be at least 18 years old for the first round of three auditions. In each individual round, the contestants are given a costume to wear live in front of a panel of judges, including Kelly and Judy. Judges consider the dancer’s technique, high kicks, splits, showmanship, personality, energy, passion, attitude, body and personality. There will be at least two rehearsals per week after the artists make it through the rounds. The DCC website states that “a regular training schedule will commence once the season begins”. “All rehearsals are scheduled in the evening. Performance group, extra practice on beginners weekend. Applicants who feel they cannot attend all rehearsals should not consider becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.”

The audition round has remained the same over the years. Four-time vet Jenni Croft, who later appeared on Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor, had this to say about Ben & Ashley and Almost Famous: “I applied directly and there was no

at the time “. This is the July 2024 podcast. “I could have taken lessons…I had no audition preparation. “When I got there, outside Texas Stadium, there were 1,500 women lined up in a zigzag line, heads bowed, suitcase mirrors in their hands and curling irons in their hands.”Jenny said: “I’ll be learning more about beats and choreography and I’ll also be interviewed. It was all questions, but I also took a 10-page written exam. Dallas Cowboys history, NFL history, current events, current players, owner information [and more]. “But I had to write the national anthem word for word on paper.”

CBCs are expected to dress neatly and maintain a neat appearance at all times in accordance with team rules. According to the team’s website, all performers must have “well-proportioned dance attire” and follow specific rules for hair and makeup. (Kelly also hosts a makeover day, where she instructs local stylists to change freshmen’s looks to better match her vision for the team.)When it comes to makeup, DCC is encouraged to wear makeup colors that “complement your natural beauty.””Choose a matte eyeshadow. A little shine is fine, but avoid an overly glossy look,” the site says. “Also avoid false lashes that are too heavy or long, as they can make your eyes look heavy and dark. Also, make sure there’s not too much contrast between contours and highlights.”

She also advises girls to apply a bronzer of the same color between the face and body, without the “orange tint”. That’s because “if your spray is too dark, your facial features will ‘disappear’.”Girls with DCC hair should wear their tresses in a “modern hairstyle that complements their features.””Make sure your hair doesn’t cover your face,” the website says, asking interns at the Mandarin Salon in Dallas for more guidance.

DCC authorities will not refuse dancers with tattoos, but they must be covered while working. “It is our policy that no tattoo, no matter how small, should be visible on uniform or dress rehearsal,” the site says. “There are many effective tattoo cover-up products in stores and online. Alternatively, using concealer, powder and bronzer in the same color can also be effective.

Just because DCC fields a team for one year does not guarantee a spot the following year. At the end of the season, the girls dress up and tell Finglass and Trammell that they plan to try out next year. At Sweets of America, Victoria confirmed her intention to participate in the fifth course. After talking to Kelly and Judy, he changed his mind. “During my fifth-year audition, I felt like my position on the team was in jeopardy,” Victoria said. “As a fifth grader, I know leadership is not guaranteed, but I want to go out there with confidence so I can lead other teammates.”

Uniform to manage your cheerleading career and overall body
Vets who make the team several years in a row are not issued new uniforms each time. As a result, they have certain standards that they adhere to when it comes to their bodies. “You can’t wear a new uniform. If you wear the same uniform, you’re going to get that size,” Victoria said on America’s Sweethearts. “You can’t go upstairs, they say, ‘Why doesn’t it suit you?'” he says.

One of the most important rules of DCC is that you are not allowed to date Cowboy football players. While teaming up, Kelly and Judy were reprimanded by several dancers for talking to one of the athletes. But NFL stars don’t have a similar policy. Not mentioned: Don’t get pregnant during the NFL seasonAlthough there are no written rules, DCC understands that there are pregnancy contracts during the NFL season. “I’m not sure it’s something we’ve really thought about,” Rhys Weaver, who first joined the DCC team in 2023, said on the Unplanned podcast in August 2024. “I think it’s something we don’t talk about, but we know it is impossible because it is clear that the uniforms will be released little by little.”

This does not mean that DCC leadership will not accept mothers on the team as long as they meet all other appearance and schedule requirements. “The funny thing is [his] daughter was a DCC,” added Rees. “He was so stubborn and murderous, I was like, ‘Oh, mum!’, I wish I could aspire to be like that. “She exceeded my expectations and it was great to see her overcome the stereotypes you (majors) have.”
