Kaulig Racing has announced that a car will be fielded in 2025 and TY DILLON will return to the NASCAR Cup Series. Dillon, nephew of Richard Childress, lost in a cup race with Spire Motorsports. In the 2022 and 2024 truck series seasons, three teams, including three Kaulig Racing teams, featured six cups. Dillon said: “Thank you very much for the chance to drive full-time in the Cup Series and to be able to compete with the players and players at Kaulig Racing,” DILLON said. “They gave me the opportunity to prove myself through more starts this year. I joined the team early and had good results in #16. In 2025, I look forward to seeing what happens with this team. There is a bright future ahead of us and we will do our best in all laces next season.”

Dillon replaces Daniel Hemrick, who was promoted to full-time driver at Cowlig this year after nine races in 2023. Hemric does not yet have a full-time driver for the 2025 season, but would like to race on Sunday. Cowrigg will be given the number 31 at the end of the 2024 season, replacing Dillon with the number 10. “We are thrilled to have qualified in the top 10 for the 2025 Cup Series season,” said Kaulig Racing President Chris Rice. “We look forward to some familiarity and synergy with the series no. 10 and no. 16, as jersey numbers were not available when we decided to move to the Cup.”Kaulig ranks 10th and 16th in the Xfinity Series. “I’m looking forward to finishing the last seven races of this season as strong as I can as I continue to build the next chapter of this journey,” Hemrick said in a social media post.

Hemrick’s ninth-place finish was the best of four finishes this season. Hemrick and Dillon will compete for Cowlig at Kansas Speedway this weekend as the NASCAR Cup Series advances to the second round of the playoffs. Dillon’s last Cup Series top-10 finish came at the 2022 Bristol Dirt Race.
