Belstane Racecourse, located approximately one mile from Carluke, covers approximately 19 acres and includes Belstane Farm, staff accommodation with additional offices and reception, stables for 127 horses, indoor and outdoor riding areas and land suitable for grazing or mowing . The 54 x 17.8 meter open space consists of a steel portal frame under a roof with concrete panel walls, sectional cladding and a concrete floor. The Belstan Delta site covers more than 13 acres and is rated 3(2) by the James Hutton Institute, Galbraith added. The site is surrounded by posts and barbed wire, and the interior is surrounded by a circular wooden fence and a sand path with two wooden shelters.
