With four races remaining in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, Christopher Bell can once again challenge for the championship. After challenging for the title the past two seasons, the 29-year-old Norman native is hoping to make a third consecutive championship appearance.
But for now, his focus remains on Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the first of three quarterfinal playoff races that will determine the four drivers for the championship. Bell secured his spot in round eight before the checkered flag waved with a runner-up finish last weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The playoff schedule has now been changed to Vegas, Miami and Martinsville Speedway, narrowing the playoff field from eight to four. Bell is second in points, 20 behind leader Kyle Larson, heading into the South Point 400 in Las Vegas, which begins this week Sunday at 1:30 p.m. on NBC.
