Travis Hunter reveals the jersey number he will wear in the NFL before he pays for 12.

Colorado star Travis Hunter is expected to be selected high in the 2025 NFL Draft after spending the last two years with the Buffaloes.

They are ranked 12th in college, but it’s hard to translate that number to the NFL because no one besides Tom Brady is there. From the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the legendary quarterback wore No. 12 throughout his 23 years in the league.

Hunter knows this and admitted while speaking on the Travis Hunter Show that he would be willing to trade his rookie number in the NFL, especially if he was drafted by the Patriots. He also doesn’t want to pay to wear a certain number. “

If I don’t get No. 12, I’ll take No. 40,” Hunter said. “If I go to the Patriots? I’m not pleased to wear Tom Brady’s number. What I mean is I write the number 40. Nobody wants to give me 12, they want me to pay, man. Goodbye.”

Hunter wasn’t even allowed to wear #12 with the Patriots. That’s because the organization retired the number last summer. The Buccaneers haven’t retired No. 12, but not wearing Brady’s number is considered a sign of respect.
