The Pittsburgh Steelers celebrated their historic 50th Super Bowl reunion, honoring their 1974 Super Bowl IX win.
However, legendary quarterback Terry Bradshaw was noticeably absent due to health concerns.
The reunion, held during the Monday Night Football game between the Jets and Steelers, saw many members of the 1974 team in attendance, including Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, and John Stallworth.
The Acrisure Stadium was filled with nostalgia as the Steelers’ greats reminisced about their achievement.
The team’s journey to Super Bowl IX was marked by uncertainty, with three quarterbacks – Terry Bradshaw, Joe Gilliam, and Terry Hanratty – rotating roles.
However, Head Coach Chuck Noll’s clarity of mind and focus on winning led them to victory.
Following the reunion, the players attended the Steelers 2024 Alumni Weekend Dinner, where Terry Bradshaw’s health was a topic of discussion.
Recent health concerns have plagued the legend, including a worrying incident during FOX’s Sunday Night Football coverage.
Bradshaw mistakenly discussed the Bengals vs. Browns game while highlights showed the Bills vs. Titans game. Although he corrected himself quickly, fans were shocked and speculated about his health.
This isn’t Bradshaw’s first health struggle. In the 1990s, he battled depression, seeking help from a preacher, psychologist, and psychiatrist. He eventually became a mental health advocate.
In the 2010s, Bradshaw fought bladder cancer and Merkel cell cancer but made a full recovery. He has been cancer-free for the past 2-3 years.
The mystery surrounding Bradshaw’s current medical condition remains. Is it a minor illness or something more severe? As updates become available, we will report on his condition.
We wish Terry Bradshaw good health and wellbeing.
