Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb missed Wednesday’s practice due to an ankle injury, as confirmed by the team’s injury report.

The exact nature and severity of the injury remain unclear. Lamb was among several key Cowboys players absent from practice, including defensive tackle Mazi Smith and cornerback Trevon Diggs.

Despite the injury, ESPN’s Todd Archer reports that the Cowboys expect both Lamb and Diggs to be available for Sunday’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Smith’s status remains uncertain.

Lamb, 25, recently signed a four-year, $136 million extension after holding out during training camp. In the Cowboys’ 44-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Lamb had four receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown, all in the first half. He was targeted seven times in the game.

Diggs sat out practice due to a foot injury, though details are scarce. After returning from a torn ACL last season, he logged five tackles in Sunday’s loss.

Smith, dealing with a back issue, left Wednesday’s practice early, which could further weaken the Cowboys’ defensive line. In addition, defensive tackle Jordan Phillips was placed on injured reserve following a wrist injury from last season that required surgery. Phillips will miss at least four games, and it’s uncertain whether he’ll need surgery again.

The Cowboys will face the Ravens on Sunday afternoon. Baltimore, looking to avoid an 0-3 start for only the second time in franchise history, is coming off a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
