CeeDee Lamb Breaks Silence on Dak Prescott on-field Dispute

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb expressed his frustration during the team’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, September 22, in a heated exchange caught on camera with quarterback Dak Prescott, receivers coach Robert Prince, and right guard Zack Martin.

Lamb addressed the moment in a media chat on Tuesday, September 24.

When asked about the on-field incident, Lamb admitted, “I know that’s not the player I am.”

“I know that’s not the teammate I am,” Lamb told reporters, reflecting on the outburst. “It wasn’t my best game. I take full responsibility for that. I will improve moving forward, and everything will be okay.”

He continued, “I hold myself to a high standard — higher than anyone else. Honestly, I let myself down, and by extension, the team. I didn’t deliver or make the game-breaking plays I’m capable of… I let the game get to me mentally.

I have to be honest with myself; I played a significant role in that loss, and my attitude and body language didn’t help the outcome.”

Seeing stars like Lamb and Prescott, two of the team’s highest-paid players, involved in a heated moment likely raised concerns among Cowboys fans. But Lamb reassured everyone that there is no bad blood between him and Prescott, calling the quarterback his “brother.”

“We get the urgency, and it’s something between us,” Lamb said of Prescott. “We talk about it constantly, day and night, and if anything, this has made our relationship stronger. Don’t let the outside noise fool you. We’re brothers for life, and we know we’re all we’ve got.”

Lamb added, “I respect him deeply. I see him as a brother. So when it’s all said and done, the energy, the passion, the love, and the fight will come through. There’s no drama.”

Dak Prescott on CeeDee Lamb: ‘Move On to the Next Play’

Prescott mirrored Lamb’s sentiments, speaking to the media after the Ravens’ game. When asked about their sideline exchange, Prescott explained, “I just want to make sure he doesn’t get too down on himself.”

“Body language, whether good or bad, doesn’t matter,” Prescott said at the postgame press conference. “It’s about where his mind is at.

When you’re passionate and hold yourself to high expectations, it’s easy to get frustrated. My role is to remind him, ‘Hey, next play, move on.’ Whatever happened, he can make up for it with the next opportunity.”
