The Dallas Cowboys are dealing with significant injury concerns as they prepare for their Thanksgiving Day showdown against the New York Giants. Star receiver CeeDee Lamb enters the game visibly hobbled, raising concerns about his availability.
Lamb has been battling multiple injuries this season but has remained a key presence on the field. Earlier in the year, he sustained a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder but managed to avoid missing any games. However, his current setbacks are unrelated to the shoulder. Listed as limited on the injury report for the past two days, Lamb is now dealing with back and foot issues.
“This is definitely one of the toughest years for me body-wise,” Lamb admitted after Tuesday’s practice.
Despite his physical challenges, Lamb remains determined to play. The star receiver, who signed a four-year, $136 million extension before the season began, has recorded 841 yards on 77 catches with four touchdowns. Even with the added difficulty of playing without franchise quarterback Dak Prescott, who is sidelined following hamstring surgery, Lamb remains committed to staying on the field.
“That ain’t stopping nothing, that’s for sure,” Lamb said, expressing his intent to keep playing.

Lamb isn’t the only Cowboy dealing with injuries during this short week. Quarterback Cooper Rush has been limited in practice due to a knee injury sustained in the game against the Washington Commanders.
“He’s got some work to do, but I think we’re gonna be fine,” Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said.
Rush has shown improvement after a rocky start as Prescott’s replacement. Over the last two games against the Commanders and Texans, Rush has thrown for 600 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. His most recent performance was particularly impressive, with Rush completing 75% of his passes and achieving a career-high QB rating of 117.6.
“I thought Cooper did a great job managing the game. I thought the run game teed up some completions for him, and he was very decisive,” McCarthy said. “Clearly, it was his best game so far this year.”
Lamb praised Rush’s improvement but noted the offense still has room to grow.
“Pretty good,” Lamb said, assessing Rush’s recent play. “Obviously, I feel like we could’ve scored a lot more, but his two touchdowns are definitely a confidence booster for the next few
