Kansas Speedway, Kansas City, KS – Ty Majeski secured the pole position for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series playoff elimination race at Kansas Speedway, edging out Christian Eckes by a mere 0.008 seconds.
MAJESKI’S DOMINANT QUALIFYING RUN
Majeski, driving the No. 98 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing, posted a lap time of 30.667 seconds (176.469 mph) to claim his third pole of the season.
“We made some adjustments after practice and hit it just right,” Majeski said. “My team did an awesome job. We’re in a great position for tomorrow’s race.”
PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS
The Kansas 200 is the final race of the Round of 8, with the top six drivers advancing to the Championship 4. Majeski currently sits fifth in the standings, 22 points above the cutoff line.
“This pole gives us a huge boost,” Majeski acknowledged. “We need to capitalize on this momentum and secure our spot in the Championship 4.”
CHALLENGERS LINE UP
Eckes, who qualified second, will start alongside Majeski on the front row.
“We were close, but Ty just edged us out,” Eckes said. “We’re focused on winning tomorrow and securing our spot in the next round.”
