The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Friday night at Bristol Motor Speedway quickly descended into mayhem. Ty Majeski and Frankie Muniz collided during the race’s opening stage, which swiftly escalated into a multi-car crash. Unfortunately, this collision also ruined the evenings of Stewart Friesen and Brandon Jones. Muniz appeared upbeat in his post-race interview despite this sad outcome. He disclosed that in addition to getting ready for the “Malcolm in the Middle” revival, he is presently working to hone his driving abilities. “I think the next five weeks will be the most difficult of my life. On Sunday, we begin filming Malcom in the Middle,” Muniz stated. “
Preproduction has been going on over the past week. I’m making every effort to ensure that this is as beneficial and fruitful as possible for Ford, the team, and myself. However, I also have to come up and perform well for them [the studio]. Those comments from Muniz, who hasn’t completed a Truck Series race since March 21, were not well received by NASCAR fans. Some NASCAR fans feel Muniz should stop racing, even though this may be viewed as harsh. “Oh good, he can finish 30th 5 more times,” a supporter said. “And perhaps take one or two lead lap cars.” Hang it up. “Talking about TV while riding at half speed on a short track and causing collisions with a winning chance the race,” a second fan said. “Might be time to hang it up big fella,” another fan wrote on X. “Frankie Muniz you’re an actor, not a race car driver,” a fourth fan declared.
In the Truck Series standings, Muniz is presently ranked 23rd. He finished in the top 10 at Daytona to start the season. Naturally, there’s a chance Muniz will recover from his lackluster showing in Bristol. Fans of NASCAR won’t hold their breath, though. Rockingham Speedway will host the Truck Series again on April 18.
