As a NASCAR national series returns to ‘The Rock’ for the first time since 2013, practice, qualifying, and race action are scheduled for today. Chandler Smith defeated 2021 Cup Series champion Kyle Larson to win the Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol Motor Speedway last time out in the Truck Series, denying Larson the weekend sweep. Smith’s triumph has pushed him up to second place in the most recent Truck Series rankings, although he is still 18 points behind Corey Heim, the current leader of the championship. In other news, Daniel Hemric, Tyler Ankrum, and Ty Majeski complete the top five going into this weekend in that order. Having said that, let’s discuss all the details you need to know ahead of today’s practice, qualifying, and race action.
