In the first Xfinity race at Rockingham since 2004, Love claimed the checkered flag, but it was discovered that his vehicle had a rear suspension infraction. According to NASCAR, Love’s vehicle was in violation of rule 14.14.2.I-5.H, which states that all mating surfaces between the U-bolt saddle and the truck trailing arm must be in full contact with one another. Smith was declared the winner after Love was disqualified. Smith has now won three times in his Xfinity career, including his first of the season. Second place is now given to Parker Retzlaff. That is the best finish he has ever had in Xfinity. Taylor Gray rounds out the top five, followed by Harrison Burton in third place and Brennan Poole in fourth. Love is given credit for placing 37th. Additionally, having more than two lug nuts not safe and secure at the end of the race disqualified Justin Bonsignore. Bonsignore is credited with finishing 38th in the 38-car field.
