Among the NASCAR team owners is NBA legend Michael Jordan, who also owns 23XI Racing, Bubba Wallace’s team. Jordan and #11 driver Denny Hamlin share ownership of the team, and Wallace recently talked about the positive attitude the basketball star brings to the team from his role as an owner, describing how, after tough races, Jordan is always there to encourage the driver and look at the bright side of things. During an interview with former Cup driver Kevin Harvick on the Harvick Happy Hour podcast, the 23XI Racing driver was questioned about the $3.5 billion (per Forbes) co-owner’s influence as a leader and someone who helps guide him.

MJ is more of the mental aspect of it, yes. the philosophical aspect of it. It’s a “good race,” “tough luck,” or something like that after every race. You can’t go technical with him because he doesn’t know anything about the car itself, so it’s that aspect of things. However, he always sees the bright side. In addition, Bubba Wallace mentioned a particular exchange he had with Michael Jordan following the race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, in which the former placed 28th. Vegas said something like, ‘Great points day,’ and I thought, ‘Man, it’s tough, I don’t know what else I could do to, you know, get this turned around.'”

The 31-year-old has consistently placed in the Top five in the season’s final two races, finishing third at the Homestead-Miami Speedway and last weekend’s race at the Martinsville track. “Because I felt like it was starting to resemble my previous years of where it’s good to start and start to fade off – bad races, and he just said ‘Keep the faith, keep after it, ’cause you’re there.'” Bubba Wallace also discussed how Jordan’s advice isn’t always immediately appreciated by him, but eventually does.

Following the most recent Fintech cooperation, Bubba Wallace spends time at the stock exchange

Following an agreement with American financial technology startup Robinhood, 23XI Racing announced earlier this week that they will be adding a new partner for the #23 squad of Bubba Wallace. The team recently celebrated Wallace’s consecutive third-place finishes and the arrival of their new sponsor by posting pictures of him at the New York Stock Exchange on social media. “After two third-place finishes and the announcement of a new partner, Bubba’s stock is rising 📈.” “We had a great time celebrating our new partnership with Robinhood in New York on Tuesday 🤝,” the team wrote as the caption for the photo.

The Goodyear 400, which takes place at the Darlington Raceway on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. ET, is the next race on the Cup Series schedule, and Bubba Wallace will be looking to improve his record by winning his first race of the year.
