Stephon Gilmore throws shade at Jerry Jones on social media More than two weeks into free agency, the Dallas Cowboys have been one of the quietest teams thus far.

Not only have they lost several important starting pitchers, but they are in danger of losing another starting pitcher if they do nothing.
Star cornerback Stephon Gilmore was a free agent and the Cowboys did not re-sign him despite having a great 2023 season and wanting to stay in Dallas for another year.
That’s all Jerry Jones has done this season. The former NFL Defensive Player of the Year appears to be tired of the process itself.
The 33-year-old took to social media and liked a post that voiced his frustrations with the Cowboys.
The post that caught Gilmore’s eye ended with, “amazing how good front offices and coaching staffs figure it all out”.
This is clearly a shade at Jerry Jones and the Cowboys organization, which have historically been reluctant to go “all-in” and sacrifice future flexibility.
Yet, after years and years of coming up short in the playoffs, Jones seemed adamant about his desire to prioritize short-term success this offseason.
That is why Gilmore, who was a key piece in one of the strongest secondaries in the NFL last season, expected to be retained.
After all, a team that dreams of making the Super Bowl and says it’s going to give it its all won’t want its cornerback’s walks to be at Pro Bowl levels. Gilmore has every right to be frustrated, and so do Cowboys fans.

Jerry Jones is running out of time to overcome this disastrous offseason for Dallas. Fortunately, unlike Stephon Gilmore, he doesn’t have to wait until he gets a good contract.
