Gravenberch, 21, joined the German giants last summer after emerging as one of the brightest prospects in European football at Ajax, but things haven’t quite gone to plan and he is looking for a move.

Manchester United were initially said to be interested in the midfielder, but it was later claimed that the Dutchman would prefer a switch to Anfield.

BILD reporter Christian Falk reported that Bayern are expecting a £25m bid from Liverpool and fans have been quick to look for suggestions that Gravenberch wants to sign for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Reds fan account @AnfieldLeak took to Twitter to share details of a flight scheduled for later today which will fly from Munich to Blackpool – less than 30 miles from Liverpool.

According to FlightRadar24, the small private jet is expected to depart at 1pm German time and arrive in England shortly after 2am UK time.

This has led to suggestions from supporters that Gravenberch is on his way to Merseyside following positive reports surrounding his move to Liverpool.

TalkSPORT reported that the young midfielder has already agreed personal terms with the Reds.

Liverpool have until 11pm on Friday to reach an agreement. Asked about his future after Bayern’s win over Augsburg on Sunday, Gravenberch told Sky Germany: “I don’t know what will happen in the next few days.”

Should he join the club, Gravenberch would become Liverpool’s fourth signing of the summer, completing the Reds’ trio of new midfielders.
